This is an excellent activity book that focuses on people games, songs, finger plays, and mirror activities that can be done with young infants. It offers wonderful tips for promoting motor, language & communication, cognitive, social, and emotional development in children who are 6 months and younger. Each developmental area has it's own section in the book and each section offers suggestions for play activities that are appropriate for infants birth to 3 months and those 4 to 6 months of age. The book also provides suggestions about the types of toys that are appropriate for children this young. Finally, there are extensive appendices that provide lists of songs, finger plays, nursery rhymes, and chants that are fun to use with infants.
